Mike Reed, UNITEL Advisor, has received the prestigious WTA 2023 Associate Member Award at the WTA’s fall conference. WTA – Advocates for Rural Broadband is a member-driven association strengthening the ability of its members to provide affordable, advanced broadband and communications services in rural America through advocacy and education.
WTA’s Associate Member Award recognized a member who has gone above and beyond in supporting WTA and its telco membership. The Associate Member Award is only given out once every two years.
“Mike has been part of the WTA Associate Member Committee for many years. He has been a consistent contributor in sponsoring WTA events at a Platinum level and actively supports the association and its members with very competitive ancillary benefits programs that have saved member companies thousands of dollars. Mike’s dedication and support have been remarkable,” said Jimmy Todd, President, WTA – Advocates for Rural Broadband.
Mike Reed was unable to attend WTA’s Fall Conference, however, he prepared a speech which was read by Shane Ideus, Executive Vice President and UNITEL Risk Consultant, who accepted the award on Mike’s behalf.
“On behalf of the entire UNITEL team, it’s an honor to be recognized by WTA and their leadership team. It’s been an absolute pleasure to support WTA, WTA staff and member companies over the years. I’m been truly blessed to work alongside all the other deserving associate members. The WTA has been so important to my career. I’ve received way more than I have ever given to WTA. I cannot express in words how much I value the friendships and business relationships I’ve developed over the years.”
