Employers with less than 100 employees will avoid ACA Mandate until 2016 In the ever changing world of health care reform the government has announced yet another change. The Department of the Treasury and the Internal Revenue Service announced on 2/10/14 that the Affordable Care Act’s health coverage mandate for employers with fewer than 100 employees will be delayed another year until 2016. Right now only those employees working at least 30 hours per week are counted in this tally.  That also may change as congress continues to evaluate the impact on small business.
